Give Your Audio A Boost - The Cloud Microphones CL-1 Cloudlifter is a compact, single-input mic activator, the ideal solution for common audio problems with low-output passive dynamic and ribbon microphones. From stage to studio, simply connect your dynamic or ribbon mic to the input and connect a mixer or preamp to the output where the Cloadlifter will provide up to +25 dB of clean, transparent gain. By keeping the direct audio path free and clear of transformers, capacitors, and resistors, the CL-1 greatly improves the performance of passive microphone signals for clean and professional sound. You can also use the Cloudlifter to boost the output signal over long XLR runs where a signal loss would otherwise be problematic.Know It's Purpose - It is important to point out that the CL-1 does not use Phantom power to power mics - that's not what it was designed for. Intended primarily for passive dynamic and ribbon microphones, and due to the danger of misplaced phantom power on ribbon microphones, it does not let the +48v get to the microphone. This awesome device requires only Phantom power to work without powering or passing it through to your delicate microphones.Rugged And Reliable - The easy to use, self-contained CL-1 comes in a rugged steel enclosure for shielding and durability and allows for stage or stand mounting.
