About Child's Traditional Maori New Zealand Korowai Cloak
This replica of a traditional Maori girl's or boy's flax Korowai cloak is perfect to wear over the Kapahaka costume. It features a top border of an authentic red, black and white design that includes New Zealand's national bird the Kiwi, surrounded by the Niho-Taniwha pattern (dragon's teeth) and the Baskets of Knowledge. The cloak is made from 100% cotton and adorned with traditional karure or tassels. The side is held together with a comfortable band of elastic. This versatile cloak can be worn several different ways. (Measurements below are approximate) CHILD'S SMALL CLOAK: 22" wide x 26" long - fits 26"-30" around the shoulders, CHILD'S MEDIUM CLOAK: 24" wide x 29" long - fits 28"-32" around the shoulders, CHILD'S LARGE CLOAK: 26" wide x 33" long - fits 30"-34" around the shoulders, CHILD'S XL CLOAK: 29" wide x 37" long - fits 33"-43" around the shoulders
