Our merino wool is Certified Organic by the IMO and Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). Internationally recognized as the toughest organic textile standard, GOTS goes far beyond verifying the farming process by including every step of manufacturing and processing. Organic, undyed fibers are perfect for making toys and clothes for children or anyone with sensitivities or health concerns. Merino is the standard by which the fineness of wool is graded and is among the softest fleeces in the world. It is an old breed mostly grown for its exquisite wool. The staple is quite crimpy and shorter than that of some other popular breeds, but its softness is legendary. Our Organic Combed Top Merino Roving is much appreciated by spinners, felters and toy makers who create baby-soft heirlooms for little ones. We recommend hand washing your creations in cool water with like colors.
