Dr. Carlson is past president of the Greene County Humane Society and is currently in veterinary practice with his daughter, Lisa D.Carlson, D. V. M., who has contributed greatly to this book. James M. Giffin, M. D. Dr. Giffin, a surgeon in Colorado, served as Chief of Surgery at the 45th Surgical Hospital in Vietnam and was activated to serve in Operation Desert Storm.
