This Case Tear Drop pocket knife is part of the Dark Red Bone CV family. Pocket Worn Old Red Bone knifes have been carried daily by Case enthusiasts for decades and the hand finishing on this knife gives it a comfortable, slightly smoother feel that comes from being carried for years in a front pocket. This folding knife includes a Spear and Pen blade. The Spear blade is a heavy-duty utility tool that effortlessly pieces and stabs. The blade is symmetrically shaped with a point that is in line with the center of the blade. The blade’s sharp point provides strength, durability, and long-lasting use and is easy to control. Its small cutting edge can slice through objects, but is not well-suited for slicing and cutting. The Pen blade is similar to a spear point or drop point blade but is much smaller. Often times pen blades are found in pocket knives that have more than one blade. The pen blade is great for small detailed uses, especially for everyday use such as opening envelops and boxes. This knife is constructed with our chrome vanadium (CV) steel. Some knife lovers will settle for nothing less than chrome vanadium blades, since this special formula of alloyed steel is the “original” Case blade steel. Case chrome vanadium blades are known for their edge-holding ability and easy re-sharpening. However, they are less resistant to rusting, pitting and discoloration than stainless steel. We recommend keeping a thin film of oil on the blade to maintain the finish. This ensures that your knife will be around for future generations to enjoy.
