There really isn't a good place to collect trash in the Jeep Cherokee,little "storage" strip just in front of the front armrest console(i.e., the space that you insert this product into)is a waste of space ,If you had tried putting my cell phone in it and your phone would not stay put, especially when making a turn. If you also tried putting a pen in it, which was too long for the little cubby.This is a perfect fit.When inserted in front of the center armrest, the top of the storage holder is about 1 inch below the armrest's handle, so it does not at all hinder, interfere, or get in the way of opening the armrest.And the tape that comes on the trashcan thick enough to adhere the trashcan so that it doesn't move around or make noise in your vehicle.
