About Callaham Stratocaster Tremolo Bridge, Vintage

Callaham’s Strat tremolos are regarded by many to be the finest available. Made in the USA from the finest, vintage-correct materials, like 1018 cold-rolled steel for the blocks, and hardened, nickel-plated steel for the saddles. These bridges are beautiful to look at and sound beautiful as well! This “Vintage Narrow” model fits guitars with vintage 2-7/32” screw spacing, but it has the modern American Standard 2-1/16” string spacing. Great for players who prefer modern feel, or who have a guitar where the E strings are so close to the edges of the fretboard that they’re prone to being pulled off. This bridge will move the E strings in away from the edges. String Spacing: 2-1/16” Screw Spacing: 2-7/32” Included Arm: FE (Fender) Length, Parchment Tip Fits: Fender original 1954-1969; US Reissues; Highway 1 (through 2005); Custom Shop Time Machine Series; Jimmie Vaughan Strat; Eric Johnson Strat; Road Worn Strat; Japanese Reissues; Classic Series '50s/60s/70s Our illustrated diagram in the images section shows all of the tremolo models side-by-side, with specifics about choosing a model that will fit your guitar properly. All Callaham trems feature Callaham’s Enhanced Vintage block and Virtual Pop-In arms. This feature is designed to take the play out of the arm for improved feel. It also makes for quick and easy arm installation: Push the arm in and screw it around once or twice to engage a couple of threads and you’re ready to play. The block’s internal precision-reamed Delrin bushing provides a bearing surface for the unthreaded portion of the arm, improving feel while minimizing risk of arm breakage. See our cutaway illustration in the images section. The block features a machined top surface, free of paint, permitting solid metal-to-metal contact between the block and the underside of the top plate, for maximum rigidity with no dampening of vibration.
