Nylon 66 meets the Underwriters Laboratories UL 94V-2 flammability rating and UL 62275 in tests for resistance to flame, electrical charge and tensile strength. * Strong and resilient * Resistant to wider range of inorganic substances, including automotive oils, detergents and alkalis. * Specific gravity of 1.14. * Derived from two amide-forming ingredients: hexamethylene diamine and adipic acid (each has 6 atoms). * Tensile yield strength of 9,000 psi. * Izod impact strength of 2.1 ft. lbs. per inch of notch depth. * Flexural modulus of elasticity of 175,000 psi. * Working temp. range from -40°F (-40°C) to 185°F (85°C). * Melting point from 480°F (250°C) to 500°F (260°C). * Deflection temp. of 430°F (221°C) at 66 psi and 160°F (70°C) at 264 psi.
