The Jaboticaba Bonsai is a stunning Southern Brazilian beauty guaranteed to captivate audiences from Carnival to your living room. Jaboticaba Bonsai are upright, graceful trees that have glossy, dark-green foliage that comes in brushed with pink in the Spring. The bark is cinnamon colored and has a habit of slowly peeling off in curls, which adds to its already stunning visual impact. Mature Jaboticaba will flower and produce fruit all over its trunk and branches. The flowers are tiny and white and the fruit, which are round, dark and resemble small grapes, can be eaten fresh or made into jams or wine (they’re called Brazilian Grapes in case anyone asks). Comes with Humidity tray and decorative rocks to counteract the effects of indoor dryness and outdoor windiness. Excess water collects in the tray and slowly evaporates; increasing the humidity around the tree and improving the growing environment. Your bonsai tree thrives while windowsills stay dry and debris-free. A tray can also be used outdoors to improve conditions in dry or windy sites. Each live plant is shipped with the Phytosanitary Certificate as required by the USDA.
