The Brown & Sharpe 599-540-246 Try Square Set includes three try squares with blades—2", 4", and 6" sizes—fixed at a 90-degree angle to the stock for checking and laying out right angles on parts and surface edges and determining flatness of perpendicular parts. The squareness of the blade edge to the working face of stock is 0.0006". A machined notch at the inner corner of the stock provides clearance for burrs that may be present in metal parts and surfaces. The try squares are made of hardened and ground steel for rigidity and durability. The set comes with a fitted, hard plastic carrying case. This try square, also called an engineer's or machinist's square, is commonly used in woodworking and metalworking applications.
