It features a twilight view of Washington D.C. and many of its national monuments and government buildings. Centered in the photograph is the tall, slender Washington Monument. In the distance, slightly left of the Washington Monument is the U.S. Capitol, home to the United States Senate and the House of Representatives. To the right of the Washington Monument are the Lincoln Memorial and the Jefferson Memorial. Located along the Potomac River in the left side of the photograph is the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
