The navy Benchmark Flame Resistant Insulated Coverall has a shell and liner made of flame-resistant cotton and an insulating layer made of acrylic fibers for warmth and flame resistance. It meets National Fire Protection Association NFPA 70E, Heat Rating Category HRC 3, Occupational Safety and Health Administration OSHA 1910, American Society for Testing and Materials ASTM 1506, and National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) 2012 specifications and has an Arc Thermal Protective Value (ATPV) of 27 cal/cm2. The arms are lined with a single layer of insulation to facilitate range of motion, and the torso and legs are lined with a double layer of insulation to help maintain the core body temperature. This coverall has a full-length front zipper and hook-and-loop leg openings. A flap covers the zipper to help reduce risk of exposure through the closed zipper.
