About Beka 14" Weaving Frame

Our WEAVING FRAME is designed to offer a basic introduction to weaving. Simple to assemble, each frame comes with a set of beams featuring strong plastic teeth (14" maximum weaving width - 5 teeth per inch = 70 teeth per end piece), and all the tools needed to weave a 14" wide X 18" long project. Complete instructions, two hard maple beams, two dowel supports, a shuttle, pickup stick, and weaving needle are included. The dowels are meant to easily slip in and out of the holes making it easy both to assemble for use and disassemble for storage. When you're ready to begin a project set up the four pieces of the weaving frame with the dowels inserted into the holes. Decide on the width of your project before you begin (it may be helpful to mark with yarn or a pencil, mark near the teeth where you want your warp to begin and end on the top and bottom beam). Warp the weaving frame creating tension that will hold the beams in place. The dowels simply serve to hold the two beams apart… They will become tight when warp is wound onto the beams. All that is needed is the yarn you choose for your project. Yarn sold separately. We recommend the Natural Ivory Cotton Warp Yarn that we offer!
