The Bear & Son 526D Damascus Genuine India Stag Bone Upswept Executive Lockback Knife features a stag bone handle with a high definition damascus steel blade. The handle is light and contoured for a great feel and secure grip. Damascus steel combines steels of different properties and produces blades with extraordinary toughness and edge-holding ability. Viewed under a microscope, the cutting edge of a Damascus blade displays tiny saw-tooth carbides which are formed by forging in a coal fire. This enables the blade to cut even when it feels dull to the touch. Every piece of Damascus is as unique as a thumb print. Additional features include a hollow ground blade, nickel silver bolsters, and positive lock. This knife has an open length of 5 3/8-inches, closed length of 3-inches, blade length of 2 1/4-inches and weight of 1.8-ounces.
