About Barenbrug Classic Stockmaster Premium Multi-Purpose
Provide your livestock with high quality pasture with the Barenbrug Stockmaster Premium Multi-Purpose Grass and Forage Seed Mix. This 25 lb. bag of premium pasture and forage seed provides a highly palatable and digestible forage mixture for cattle, sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas, and horses. This pasture seed blend contains improved varieties of perennial ryegrass, tall fescue, and orchardgrass that establish rapidly to offer earlier availability and higher yields. Formulated with two Get-PLUS system modern grasses, BarOptima PLUS E34 soft leaf tall fescue and Remington PLUS NEA2 perennial ryegrass, this mixture performs well in grazing situations and offers persistence, winter-hardiness, and drought tolerance. This forage seed mix offers livestock with an excellent source of digestible fiber and high sugar content, and the orchardgrass provides quality feed into the summer months. It is a perfect mixture for smaller acreage fields that require a long lasting, high quality pasture and can also be used for hay fields after establishment. In moderate climates or in hot, dry areas with irrigation, it can be planted in spring or early fall. In regions prone to summer drought, fall sowing is recommended. It can be established via full cultivation or no-till seeding at 25-30 lbs./acre as well as broadcast seeding at 35-40 lbs./acre. The established pasture should be grown to a 6" height and grazed or mowed to 3" to maintain a dense, vegetative stand.
