It is also a wonderful way for her to connect with her two young children by reading and encouraging their curiosity. Illustrator Melissa Baker Nguyen from Canada gave the Vietnam book a big wave of positivity very matched with her personality. Having lived in Vietnam the last two years, Melissa could relate very closely to the characters' experiences having lived them herself. Illustrator Seonaid MacKay partnered on the 'Aya & Bobby Discover Thailand: Land of Smiles' book. Her background from the Glasgow School of Art and The Royal College of Art with her personal style of illustrations was the right mix to bring alive the Thailand journey. They all feel that travel books for children are important as it fosters interest in other people and places from all around the world.
