Tarina Kalsircee, native of a small fishing village that never found its way to a map. She learned how to fight from a young age by both her father and mother, using an unconventional weapon. The best her town’s militia had, her childhood friend Willem had a crush on her and had done all he could to be near her. Until life and the gods decided they would be thrust together in the worst way imaginable. The Queen and some of the armor of her nation came to call and when the village was unable to provide they were branded traitors to their tyrannical High Lord. Watching her parents and friends killed, she and Willem were taken, along with the able-bodied adults who hadn’t resisted, to be slaves to the crown. She and Willem endured, and she begged the gods for vengeance and to free her people. The gods answered and something unholy inside her awoke. As opportunity struck she and Willem freed her people, and the beast within her made its presence known. The villagers made it to safety and the pair go their separate ways to take the high Lord’s eye off their remaining friends. Striking out on their own, they make their way across the lands fleeing the kingdom, picking up a few more friends along the way. A centaur shaman, a dwarf, a fallen paladin, a stone giant, and a demonic steed become a motley set of companions. A nymph who falls in love with Tarina joins the party soon after. Still stalked by assassins they make their way to the border, desperate to get away.
