The cartoon artwork is colorful, but the illustrations falter when it comes to people. Limbs are sometimes out of proportion, and people occasionally seem awkward. Animals are better rendered. The endpapers are a delight: the front sheets are covered with monarch butterflies, while the back pages depict penguins, swimming off at the bottom right corner of the spread. There's a "Can You Find?" page toward the end that invites children to look for specific pictures throughout.
