Product Description Borrowing from its predecessor, the 2Nd version of the gel-fit sana™ keeps the same fitness focused sole geometry with the addition of a fluid fit™ printed upper. The mono-sock® tongue flexible fit system features elastic bands that provide tension and support from heel to forefoot. Rearfoot gel® cushioning systems combine with the lightweight flexible midsole to provide excellent cushioning. Breaking a sweat has never been so comfortable. From the Manufacturer In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body."
