Unlike other simulators, the iO2 is programmed to read a natural O2 signal and output a conditioned O2 signal that resembles a good quality rear O2 with a good functioning catalyst. Because the iO2 uses the an actual O2 signal to simulate the output signal, the PCM or ECM will pass rear O2 tests and catalytic converter tests, the io2's voltage output changes to the actual LEAN or RICH conditions, which is needed to run the catalyst and rear o2 testing done by the PCM. Why is the io2 different than other simulators? The io2 works for rear o2 sensors on all makes and models, including Chrysler,Jeep, and Dodge There are no adjustments required, the io2 learns what to do based on the input signal of the actual o2 sensor. Because the output of the io2 is based on the actual o2 sensor, we feel this is the most reliable approach. The io2 is smart.... Installation Very easy hookup, only four wires.
