About Aquatic Arts 1 Live Albino Mystery Snail
Our large Albino Mystery Snail will add a burst of color and also act as a fish tank clearer in your aquarium! This tidy snail consumes uneaten fish food and wipes off aquarium glass, aquarium plants, and decorations; plus it helps clear your substrate to keep it the correct color. This is a peaceful invertebrate that grows large as an adult, reaching up to 3 inches in diameter, and is safe to keep with any fish, shrimp, or plants. Its albino-white body features unique iridescent markings and its shell is striped with various shades of brown that make this snail a living, brilliant underwater fish tank decoration. Compared to other freshwater snails, Mystery Snails are characteristically more active and playful, often scaling aquarium walls, extending their antennae in search of food, and climbing up the aquarium pump to the water line to breathe oxygen. Because of this, ensure the water line in your aquarium is low enough or keep a tank lid in place so your snail cannot escape. We often ship smaller sized snails (.25 to 1.5 inches) to customers so you can enjoy your snail longer and watch it grow; a young Mystery Snail can double in size over the course of two weeks to months! NOTE: Contrary to what some websites state, Mystery Snails are NOT the same species as Apple Snails. Apple Snails are an illegal species to own in the United States. Our Mystery Snails do not grow to the tremendous size of Apple Snails (often as big as an apple).
