Excerpt from Aquaculture Research: A Directory of Usda and State Projects in Cris; January 1983This directory of aquaculture research was prepared in support of Departmental initiatives related to implementation of the National Aquaculture Act of 1980 (p.l. 96-362) and Subtitle L of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act (n' 1977, as amended by the Agriculture and Food Act of 1981 (p.l. 97 Specific reference in the legislation is made to the development and implementa tion of aquaculture research programs and the conduct of and extension to facilitate or expand promising advances in the production and marketing of aquacultural food species and products.
