This IPT engine-driven two-stage high pressure pump has a cast aluminum housing with cast iron diffusers, a cast iron 2" male NPT suction port, and a cast iron three-way male NPT discharge port (two 1" and one 1-1/2"). The centrifugal pump is self-priming to 20 vertical feet (after initial fill) with its built-in check valve, and its precision cast aluminum impellers provide maximum pressure. The pump housing has Viton (FKM, fluoroelastomer)/silicon carbide mechanical seals and EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) O-rings. The Honda overhead valve (OHV) gasoline engine choices include run times of up to two hours, low oil alert, and electric start. A steel roll frame protects the engine and pump, and a wheel kit and high pressure hose kit (not included) are available. This pump is suitable for use in high-pressure fluid transfer applications such as in fire protection, emergency firefighting, wash down, and sprinkler systems.SpecificationsEngineHonda GX160, Honda GX270, Honda GX390, OHVPumpCentrifugal self-primingMaximum flow rateRanges from 75 to 140 gpmImpellerAluminum, two-stageSuction port2" NPTDischarge portThree-way, two 1" male NPT and one 1-1/2" male NPTMaximum operating temperature200 degrees FStandards metUS Coast Guard fire pump requirement 46 CFR 27.301Pumps use mechanical action to move liquids, gases, or slurries (solids suspended in a liquid or gas). The mechanical action is categorized as either positive displacement (PD) or kinetic. PD pumps capture and release discrete amounts of flow into a chamber and then force it out. Some examples of PD pumps are fuel a
