About American Plant Exchange Pomegranate Real Live

The dwarf Pomegranate tree is low maintenance and grows quite easily indoors and will produce miniature edible fruit with proper care and lots of direct sunlight. This variety will reach about 3' tall and 2' wide at maturity and it will produce fruit after 1 or 2 years. They can also be maintained as a bonsai but will not produce fruit. They like to be moved outside into full sun in the summer and will produce deep red flowers that attract butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden porch or patio. They thrive indoors in direct sunlight above 65 degrees and outdoors in zones 7-11. They should be watered when the top inch of soil is dry and kept moist. During dryer cooler temperatures they should be misted and kept over a small tray of water filled with pebbles so that their roots do not sit in the water. During the growing season feed with a little bit of weak liquid fertilizer every few weeks. When potting up your Pomegranate use any ordinary potting mix with part perlite that drains well. Shipping and handling can be very tough on live plants so please be sure to open and check your plant right away. Our plant team gives each plant a drink before they are individually shipped and wrapped so they may not need to be watered right away.
