The lesson plan has a photomicrograph slide that displays eight related 35mm images photographed through a microscope for detailed examination, and includes arrows and call outs for identifying pertinent features. The following magnified specimens are depicted on the slide: whole brain (MRI), cerebrum (MRI) and pyramidal cells (250.0X), axons in the corpus callosum (400.0X), thalamus (MRI) and nerve tracts (750.0X), eye and occipital lobes (MRI) and optic nerve (400.0X), motor and sensory area (MRI) and motor neurons (250.0X), crossover of nerves (400.0X), and Purkinje cells (100.0X).
