About AMC 401 Crate Engine Complete Longblock
1974 AMC 401 crate engine with 7 yr 100k mile warranty. Built to the max with over 400 HP and over 500 torque. Roller rockers and big cam. Cam number is: Comp cam 10-600-5 . Lots of extras. Never been ran. I was going to put into my Jeep but I sold my jeep before motor was built. Now it is a must sell. 10: 1 compression heads. Heavy port and polish very heavy port and polish on heads and exhaust. Oil gallery mod to run an oil line to the number 8 cylinder to keep it from starving oil at high rpm. You can google this mod and find that a copper line is more efficient and lasts longer than a braided hose line. The braids on the hose fall apart after a while. A copper line has no braids. I just put an edelbrock intake performer series on it. Crate motor ready to go. Also includes the rachet shifter for automatic transmission; new vanadium v spark plugs and accel plug wires; MSD ignition; Excell coil and transmission inner cooler and radiator for transmission oil coolant system to keep the transmission from getting hot. Innercooler pictured radiator similar in size and shape but more like a small radiator for the transmission and the innercooler is a secondary oil coolant. COMPLETE RACE READY DRIVE TRAIN NEEDS VERY LITTLE MORE OVER 400 HP I just picked up my AMC 401 from the machine shop and I no longer have a Jeep to put it in. I am only trying to get my money back. I have all receipts totaling over $6k. It has over 400 plus HP with 10:1 heads factory forged rods pistons and crank. Oil mods on the number 7 and 8 cylinder in the oil galley. Also heavy porting and polishing on the heads and exhaust. Big heavy race cam. The works. All under a 7 year 100k mile warranty. I have all receipts for over $6k .
