The blade is made of 420J2 steel, tempered for maximum durability with a Rockwell hardness of 59. The rolling action is effortless due to assist bearings which are encased in the handle. Features - The ergonomic design of the patented handle allows you to use minimal force to achieve maximum cutting, avoiding stress and fatigue on your wrist and hand. Design - The bolo handle was designed so that a round blade can roll thru the casing while holding it, with the force of your hand squarely being centered on the cutting surface. Simply open the casing, rinse the blade and casing and let dry. To sharpen, simply use a stone, apply the brake, pass the blade over the stone, release the brake and turn the blade to the next section and repeat.
