About Alemite 1698-B Hydraulic Loose
This Alemite 1698-B straight hydraulic fitting has an overall length of 1-1/8" and a shank length of 25/32" with a hex size 5/16" and a 1/4" SAE-LT 28 taper thread end. The trivalent zinc plating gives it durability and makes it resistance to corrosion, exceeding a 72-hour salt spray test. The fitting is straight and has no angle to it. Its 1/4" SAE-LT 28 taper threading is for use on most cars and trucks and many industrial machines, and it has a check ball to keep dirt out. This grease fitting holds in lubrication in the assembly being lubricated and is used for applications such as lubricating motor vehicles, construction and industrial equipment, and aeronautics.Oil and grease guns are handheld tools that inject lubricant (dispensed from the barrel or cylinder cartridge) into metal mechanical assemblies.
