The Aiphone JF-2MED master station for Aiphone JF Series audio/video intercom system works with up to two door stations and two sub-master stations (sold separately) to enable communication with a visitor prior to authorizing access. An incoming call activates the display on the 3-1/2" LCD color monitor to aid visitor identification. The internal memory allows audio messages and monitor images to be stored and automatically labeled with the date and time. Image recording can be automated to capture images whenever a call from the door station is received, or can be manually controlled by the master operator using the record button. Up to 50 images can be recorded at a time (with each image containing 8 frames captured over 8 seconds) and up to 10 images can be saved to the station's memory. The station holds up to two 10-second voice recordings that can be replayed through the door station when personal communication with a visitor is not possible or preferred. Up to three 10-second voice memos can also be stored in the memory for use by the master station operator for reminders and notes.A call can be answered by either holding down the answering button for push-to-talk action or by tapping the answering button for hands-free communication with the caller. The door-release button works with an electric strike (sold separately) to remotely unlock the entrance for the visitor and, when used with two door stations and the Aiphone RY-3DL door-release adapter (sold separately), the master operator can select which connected door to release. The call button initiates audio communication with connected sub-master stations for remote communication. The monitor button can be pressed at any time to listen and receive video feed from the door station. The chime and audio volume is adjustable. Housing is ABS plastic and mounts to the surface of a wall using a single-gang box or ring.
