You will not have to worry about busting your noggin on a generator compartment or hatch door because this latch is spring loaded and opens 90 degrees to keep a secure hold on the door even with gusts of wind. Simply unscrew the sun-worn and busted old catches, and screw down these new ones. These 2.5" x 1" x 3/4" catches have 2 mounting holes that are 9/10" apart (center to center) and 4/25" in diameter. They are constructed from plastic with textured grips for easy use and a metal spring for strength. This package includes 2 black catches (4x14mm installation screws required, not included).
