To increase the contact area of the wrench on the house, this 74mm oil filter wrench is designed to engage multiple points of the oil filter housing, which decreases the chances of stripping the cap. The OEM design is 74.2mm with 14 flutes, 3/8" drive, and 1/2" Hex drive for large oil filters.
