Michael Taggart is the Alexander Turner Professor of Law in the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He has written extensively on administrative law and public law, as well as privatization and the public/private law divide. He has visited at the Universities of Melbourne, Toronto, Cambridge, Paris II, Saskatchewan, Western Ontario, Queen's University at Kingston, and Osgoode Hall Law School. The series of essays in this festschrift - dedicated to him by a group of his former students, colleagues, and friends in practice and at the Bar - mark his enormous contribution to the development of administrative law around the common law world.
