This design makes tear-out practically impossible because once installed, the shelf itself forces the supports to stay put, no matter what the load.Perfectly SizedThe shafts of these supports have tapered ends (to simplify installation), and are 3/8" in length. That's plenty long for a good "bite" into the cabinet sides, while allowing the possibility of having shelves on opposite sides of a 3/4" center partition.
