Heat shrink butt connectors used in automotive, marine, and home applications. Better than basic crimp connectors when used in an area exposed to moisture. Specifications: 18-22 AWG wire size 40mm (1.57in) Length x 2.7mm (.1in) Diameter Minimum shrink temp: 80C Starting temp of solder melt: 138C Operating temp: -55C to 125C Usage: Slide connector over one of the two wires to connect Strip both wires about 1/4" Twist wires together or use 3rd hand tool to line them up Slide the middle solder point over where the bare wires overlap/twist Apply heat gun or torch to one end and work your way across the tube, adhesive, solder, then other adhesive and remaining tubing Notes: Applying in cold area and shrinking both ends first, before solder, will result in cold air being trapped and popping tube when solder area is heated up rapidly. Work from one end across the tube or work in a warmer area.
