This class 3000 stainless steel 304/304L union is a pipe fitting with female National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads for extending and connecting male pipes. The union has NPT threads for compatibility with a wide range of thread and can usually be taken apart more easily than a coupling fitting. This class 3000 fitting is made of forged stainless steel 304/304L for durability and corrosion resistance. Class is a standard relating to tolerance, construction, dimension, and wall thickness, but it is not a direct measurement of maximum working pressure. This fitting meets standards ASTM A182, ASME SA182, and ANSI B16.11 for quality assurance.
