1935-60 Reproduced (Soviet Era) Russian Series Chess Set weighted chess pieces offers a 4.4" King with a diameter of 1.7" and all chess pieces are weighted by adding a stud of iron within the base. This venerable chess set's dark pieces are made of ebonized boxwood and the light pieces are made of boxwood. The chess set comes with 34 pieces including 2 extra queens. Set is double weighted with green felt bottoms. Uniformity of pieces: The shapes of turned pieces are guided by metal profiles and so all turned pieces are identical, especially the pawns. You can expect some variation where hand carving or cutting comes i.e. knights.
