This is an 18" American Girl 2005 Limited Edition doll Marisol. Your Marisol has long bronze brown hair, warm brown eyes, and a tanned complexion. You Marisol DOLL arrives fresh from the dance class, dressed in satin CARGO PANTS, purple wrap-around TOP with a pink TANK underneath, and Mary Jane SHOES with metallic vinyl accents. Her stylish crocheted HAT and SCARF, pendant NECKLACE, and three pairs of stick-on EARRINGS add flair. Also included is a paperback copy of her BOOK, Marisol. When Marisol Luna was first introduced she was a ground breaking and somewhat controversal addition to the American Girl- Girl Of The Year line. Only the second Hispanic character in the company's almost twenty-five year history, and the only modern truly 'urban' character compared to most of the company's other caucasian affluently suburan characters. Asside from Marisol Luna's love of dance, her struggle with class distinctions, gentrification, and urban flight, after her family's decision to move to a more affluent suburb were discussed and explored on many an evening newscast and paper article.
