Although it is advantageous to reduce the absorption of the LEDs, replacing the steering bulb with an LED may result in a flash. This happens because your new LED bulb consumes very little power and your turn signal relay finds that the light bulb is off. If your car is already flashing, add a 50W 6 ohm load resistor or flash relay.
