To clean shoes, gently rub the brush down the surface to remove dirt, dust, and other debris. This can be done routinely to remove dirt from outdoor use or before polishing to ensure an even coat of color and shine. Before polishing shoes, make sure that all dirt and debris has been removed. While shoe polish comes in cream, wax, paste, and liquid varieties, this brush is best suited for cream and paste formulas. Dip the brush into the tin of polish and, using a circular motion, sweep the polish onto the surface of the shoe. Horsehair bristles are able to hold large amounts of polish at a time, so you do not need to re-dip too frequently.
