Plankton has high levels of yellow, orange, and red pigments that support fishes' color. It provides an abundance of proteins and lipids, making it an ideal food supplement for smaller carnivorous fish. San Francisco Bay Brand Freeze-Dried Plankton (Euphausia pacifica) is perfect for feeding freshwater and saltwater fish and invertebrates, as well as aquatic turtles. Because plankton contains essential fatty acids and is high in protein, it is an excellent conditioning food for breeding fish. Fish easily digest it, benefitting water quality, allowing you to enjoy your aquarium. Our Plankton contains high levels of marine-derived proteins and polyunsaturated Omega-3 fatty acids, which is why it is an excellent conditioning food for breeding fish. Rich in carotenoids such as astaxanthin, a potent natural antioxidant, and one of the pigments responsible for the vibrant colors of aquarium fish, it will support your fishes' coloration.
