San Francisco Bay Brand Freeze-Dried Mysis Shrimp are an excellent food for enticing picky eaters to feed. They are one of the few prepared foods seahorses will accept. Their small size is ideal for feeding various aquatic pets, including freshwater community fish, marine fish, corals, and invertebrates. They provide essential nutrients, including amino acids, that help maintain high energy levels, health, and wellness. Fish can easily digest them, benefitting water quality, allowing you to enjoy your aquarium. Mysis shrimp are not actual shrimp but small, shrimp-like crustaceans. Our mysis shrimp are Neomysis japonica, a species harvested from brackish waters. Research suggests that mysis shrimp's excellent amino acid profile is responsible for their ability to stimulate a strong feeding response in fish. Freeze-dried foods have had most of the water removed for prolonged stability and storage, eliminating the need for preservatives while maintaining most of the original product's flavor, color, texture, and nutritional value.
