Awesome Aquatics Indian Almond Bark or Catappa Bark are a rich natural source of tannins for your betta and shrimp. They are a more concentrated source of tannins than the leaves. They are sustainable and ecologically harvested natural resources that help promote color, vitality and breeding in bettas and shrimp and all soft water loving animals. They increase the health of your animals. Each Bark roll chunk or Flat piece is natural and unique and may vary from the pictured samples. We provided a few as reference. They are carefully packaged and safe for pets. Keep Your Bark in a clean dry place. Use approximately a 1 x 8 cm sized piece per 30 gallons. You can cut for faster activation into the water or for smaller volume tanks. Breeders use Larger chunks and whole rolls. Some recommend boiling for 3-5 minutes to soften the bark before adding to your water. Each bark piece is unique and may vary in appearance from the sample photos we tried to provide a variety of examples of what to expect.
