About StarCraft 64
The StarCraft series has induced countless sleepless gaming sessions for more than 3 million players around the globe. StarCraft 64 reproduces the immersing real-time strategy gameplay of the original, giving Nintendo 64 fans a new reason to stay up late. In the 24th century, humans (known as Terrans) are in a survival-of-the-fittest battle against two alien races--Zergs and Protoss. Play as any of the three races, each with their own weapons, vehicles, and warfare personalities. Success lies in the ability to juggle a variety of tasks in real time. One must mine precious minerals that are processed into warships, vehicles, weapons, and armor while harnessing energy from gas-spewing geysers. At the same time, players build and defend a base and army of various forces while scouting the landscape (which remains "masked" until a unit moves into the area) for new resources and imposing enemies. All of this action takes place as the player organizes small and grand-scale attacks. It's as hectic, tense, and addictive as it reads. StarCraft 64 includes all of the missions from the original StarCraft and Brood Wars expansion pack, as well as all-new missions specially designed for this version--60 levels in all! Multiplayer support is included as well, so two players can battle in split-screen cooperative or versus matches. Sleep later... the Zerg are moving in.
