Product Description: The purpose of the 738-04124A Shear Pin is to protect your snowblower.If the auger gets jammed or clogged, the Shear Pin is designed to snap at a certain point of pressure, so it will not damage any other part of the unit. This is replacement cotter pin 714-04040. It is a standard hardware commonly used on a variety of Craftsman lawn and garden equipment. Depending on the model of your equipment it will be used in different locations to secure two parts together. Please make sure to check appropriate diagrams for correct application for this part. Features: -Color: silver and gold -Material: metal -Size: about 4.10X1.30X1.30cm/1.61X0.51X0.51inch Repair: Remove broken shear pins and cotter pins from the machine. Line up the holes in the auger and the shaft and insert shear pins and secure them with the cotter pins. And get spares. Please Note: It is best to use pliers to remove or install this part. This part is used frequently, it is advised to order extra ones to keep on hand. Packaging Includes: 10 x 738-04124 Shear pins and 10 x 714-04040 Cotter pins.
