The Outback Blue Large Capacity Professional Style Rain Gauge Features ✅A great dual scale with clear numbers heavy duty rain gauge for keen weather watchers, backyard gardeners, or farmers. Measuring in millimetres and 1/100ths of an inch. ✅The Outback Blue rain gauge is made from high quality polycarbonate plastic with UV filters that is designed to last and withstand long term exposure to hard sunlight and frosts. This means no corrosion, yellowing or clouding of the gauge. It is NOT designed to withstand freezing conditions. ✅No matter if you are a budding meteorologist or backyard enthusiast this rain gauge is the perfect long lasting choice. A fun and educational tool for kids to learn about the weather. ✅How the rain gauge works: The rain collection funnel lid channels the rainfall into the inner tube of the rain gauge. Once this is full the rain water will spill over into the outer collection tube up to a capacity of 10 inches/250 millimetres. ✅How to measure the rain collected:The inner tube is used to measure the rainfall. If the rain has spilled into the outer tube - measure the contents of the inner tube first and record result. After emptying the inner tube start measuring the rain collected in the large outer tube by pouring the rainwater into the inner measuring tube and record results.
