Flat beveled scraping edge for maximum edge contact ensures that even the stubborn bits of your hamburger releases from your cooking surface. Hardwood handle for comfortable grip and heat resistance. This spatula is designed with hardened 420 Stainless Steel and a precision ground flat scraping edge. These features are optimal for food release, and have the added benefit when used with cast iron skillets of smoothing the rough texture of your cooking surface over time. New Lodge skillets have a pronounced surface texture left over from the sand casting process. While a textured surface can be nonstick, a smooth surface is easier to clean and more pleasant to cook on. Over time, the MÄNNKITCHEN MK21680 will improve the cooking surface of your Lodge skillet, and any other cast iron skillet with a rough texture. The spatula handle is made of single piece of hardwood with a lightly tapered design for maximum comfort.
