What makes our drain plug unique outside its flawless craftsmanship and top notch materials is the heart of it, a HIGH TEMPERATURE NEODYMIUM MAGNET. The VOTEX drain plug will operate in temperatures to 150°C or 302°F. A quality motor oil will tolerate oil temperatures up to 250 degrees, but starts breaking down once you reach 275 degrees. The operating temperature for engine oil is between 194 to 230°F, so our magnet will work in temperatures far past that of engine oil.
