The Souverän stresemann is dedicated to the foreign minister of the Weimar Republic, Gustav stresemann (1878 - 1929). In addition to his political career, Gustav Stresemann's clothing style also started his popularity. The classic stresemann suit consists of striped black-grey trousers and a single-breasted jacket in black or anthracite. The similarity to the souverän causes Pelikan to name the writing instrument after Gustav stresemann. In addition to the sizes 405 and 805 in the popular colour combination black anthracite, Pelikan now offers this souverän in size 605. The shaft with its subtle stripes in anthracite is made using a cellulose acetate process. The black components are made of high-quality high-grade resin. The clip and decorative rings are finished with palladium and the feather is made of 14 carat gold which has been completely rhodium-plated to give a silver look. The writing instruments come in a space-saving folding box.
