About The Black Arts

Hardback book without dust cover in overall good condition. This is first edition from 1967 published by G. P. Putnam’s Sons (New York). Library of Congress Card Catalog Number: 67-10950. The binding is tight. The cover is in acceptable condition. The cover boards are stiff and straight. All four corners are bent with some showing considerable shelf wear. The edges of the spine have the cover color rubbed off. The top and bottom edges of the covers show shelf wear with color missing in spots. Cover has a crease where the color is gone along the spine. Some of the cover is missing at the bottom of the spine about 1/8” x 3/4” (see photo). Front cover shows wear with color missing in spots. Back cover shows less shelf wear but is still only good condition. No sign of book plate ever having been affixed. The page edges tanned and dingy with some staining here and there, mostly on the top. The inside covers and first/last page have tan staining along the binding extending the full length and about 3/4” wide. The page faces slight yellowing around the edges but are otherwise bright and clean. There is no writing, highlight or marking within the book. None of the pages are bent or torn including the corners. Overall the inside of the book is in very good condition. This is not an ex-library book nor it is a remainder.
