About Koyo LS2542 Heavy Thrust Roller Bearing

This Koyo LS-series heavy thrust roller bearing washer is designed for use with Koyo AXK-series thrust needle roller and cage assemblies in moderate-load applications where adjacent components cannot serve as raceways. It can also be used with Koyo K.811-series thrust cylindrical roller and cage assemblies when precise centering is not required. This thrust bearing washer serves as a raceway surface for the thrust assembly’s rolling elements and can be used as a housing washer (outer ring) centered in the housing or a shaft washer (inner ring) centered on the shaft. The washer is precision ground on the flat raceway surfaces for tighter tolerances than unground raceways, and it is made of low alloy, through-hardened chromium steel for durability, heat tolerance, and resistance to deformity under heavy loads. This thrust washer is manufactured to a PN (normal) tolerance for axial run-out in accordance with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 199, and it is suitable for use in various applications including machine tool drive shafts, automotive steering gears and clutches, rotary tables, outboard motor propellers, and household appliances. Specifications Dimensional and geometrical tolerances ISO 199, tolerance class PN Boundary dimensions and tolerances DIN 5405-3 Housing mounting tolerance (when used as a housing washer) H11 Shaft mounting tolerance (when used as a shaft washer) h10Rolling bearings use rolling elements to maintain the separation between moving parts to reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads. These elements can be one of the following types: ball, cylindrical, spherical, barrel, needle, spindle, or tapered. All rolling bearings are open, shielded, or sealed. S
